Friendship can destroy or make you. The right approach to friendship is to know what friendship means.

Friendship is a special relationship in which you help each other to become better.

Friendships must, therefore, be purposeful. You can have several friends where each friend is for a particular betterment of an area in your life. You can have learning friends, visioning friends and entertainment friends.

For you to have great friendship, you must put time value on yourself. How much are you worth in an hour? When you determine this, you can then evaluate if the time spent with a friend is worth it; whether it benefited you or the friend or both. As a youth, the power of your future is in the wise use of your time today.

When your friend gets into conflict with another, will you support your friend even if she is wrong? If you do, have you helped her to become better?
