Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16)
The question, “who are you?” sounds like a simple one requiring for a simple straightforward answer. People usually answer to that question by giving their name. However, your name is not really who you are. It is what you are called. Others respond by mentioning their nationality, professional rank or denomination.
If your name was changed, would you still be you? Of course! What about if your nationality, profession or denomination changed? Would you still be you? Yes Of course! That simply means you are more than your name or other things you use to identify yourself. You are more than your physical features or profession.
The real you is a spirit created in the image of God. You are a spirit being. You are not just a social or physical being. You were a spirit before you put on a flesh. When all external identities are stripped off, you will find your real identity. Whose you are determines who you are.
You are an image of GOD therefore you are God. The ocean is not different from the drop of water that makes it.
