Light is that which makes manifest and light brings illumination.

You are the light of the world. You are a city that is set on a hill and so you cannot be hidden according to Matthew 5:14.

You are to be a light in your world. People light a candle, and put it on a candlestick so that it will give light to all people that are in the house.

You are called to light up the darkness because you are that light in this dark world.

You cannot be different from your origin. The offspring of a dog will naturally be a dog, and not a cat. So as a child of light, you are light. You are to unveil God’s light to the world.

As a student, you are the light in your school. As a businessperson, you are the light of your industry. As a police officer, you are the light of the service and community. As a soldier, you are the light of the army.

You are the light in your workplace. Go ahead and light up your world. Let the love of God so shine through you, that people will see it and glorify God in you.
